A tale of two cities from my perspective.
The CCL5/CCR5 axis exists, no room for discussion. This axis is way out of balance in a staggering number of diseases, these are simple facts widely known and accepted. Why is this axis way under served in the research arm of drug discovery? Maybe this axis research has even been discarded by BP/academia for some or many reasons like the sangamo death march of failures on blocking CCR5, just like all of the other failed CCR5 blocker attempts from the past. There are/were over 400 CCR5 blocker mAb's at one time. Those are facts that may never yield qualified patient benefits from approved trials or drugs. The jury is out, like it or not, none of this is a slam dunk.
Enter the dark horse piss ant flat broke micro cap who has to borrow money from the wife of the questionable CEO to keep the lights on while using even more questionable social media to tell/pump/disseminate news of the one blocker that may actually do what is required in stopping the imbalanced axis, and allow normal cytokine function to enter past the block, and do it without any safety issues. A Cinderella story and we all know those 7 dwarfs were just a gay commune (humor), I don't judge (more humor). Caveat, no FDA, SEC or FINRA violations were harmed under his rein.
From my perspective and what I have been running hard to understand and learn about...this could be the drug of the decade, even bigger if they stop people from covid death now and against future bio-similar viruses. And it was sitting on a shelf in July of 2012. The exact same time my wife got an autologous stem cell transplant and my quest for these biotech projects began in earnest.
Yin and yang at it's finest.
