My rant for this evening:
RBL and IPIX waiting for grant
My rant for this evening:
RBL and IPIX waiting for grant to proceed on a PAN-CORONA virus investigation. So what is the RBL doing while waiting for such grant? I thought very few drugs showed promise of killing CV19 so I find it hard to believe they have a large backlog of drugs to check out. They have a mass of info now showing which classes of drugs cannot be "remanaged or repurposed" to work against CV19 so they can probably tell which have no chance before they even start. So what are they doing?
You would think they are going hellbent-for-leather into further research of Brilacidin and whether it does indeed have a full spectrum of coronavirus benefits.
As for costs, I would imagine the costs for the RBL are all basically fixed or sunk costs (lab employees, equipment, building, etc) and they are given the Brilacidin for free and most likely CV19 virus for free so their costs are nearly minimal to continue exploring Brilacidin deeper, such as working more on encephalitic inflammation, bowel problems caused by CV19, additional lung work, or even start looking at how it works against various Flu strains and possibly HIV.
So are we really waiting for money (since some say IPIX could only use this money for RBL investigations) or are we really waiting for higher ups to give RBL the authority to investigate Brilacidin in its entirety? If that is the case, then I hope to God that politics and "big money" payola doesn't land Brilacidin in the never-never land of purgatory never to be heard from again. I don't see how it could as IMO the RBL researchers would most likely become whistle blowers and many heads could roll if found they sacrificed many American lives and the economy for personal reasons.
No way I see the govt taking any break in investigating Brilacidin to the fullest if they are truly intent on ending the CV19 threat.
Expect news very soon. This crap about them needing another month or more doesn't fly with me either to providing grant money or keeping it under wraps and making it go thru dog-and-pony show trials that no other drug had to go thru that have been given hundreds of millions.
