Looks like IITG is making sterile swab and intake tubes for PCR swab tests. That's great because there are shortages in that area. It is an income stream for IITG and job creation.
In the speech, at the 28:00 mark he talks about making PPE using nano - QD, gold and silver Antimicrobial characteristics. I have read news that masks and clothing could have nanocoatings that either sterilize or shed the virus off the clothing. Not hard to apply nanocoatings, hopefully they can partner with appropriate PPE and clothing manufacturers.
Yadava also talks about using one of the reactors and mentions some interesting things he has learned about them. He adds that there are very few who can make QD in India, and they should use the reactors to this advantage. Sounds like he is saying they have had their training.
None of what he suggests is new other than they are improvements using nanotech for better function and competitive advantage.
It's 3 months since April 4th so we hope they have made fast progress designing and developing these new products and ready to go to market.
