There is a very good reason to stick with the FDA's rules and to control the data correctly. It is not just that it would piss off the FDA if Nader just starts spouting off trial data, The FDA needs to see this data in the context of the rial without the public deciding for them what they should do. The public does not read much beyond headlines and tends to insist they know what is best and have no idea what side effects and other issues a treatment might bring. These double blind trials are designed to filter out opinion and cherry-picking info to best get to only factual results so a clear decision can be made. Other drugs data and trials get twisted and eventually we learn of it. It is very important to follow the rules of trials, it leads to unquestionable data, not hype.
