Prevention is not realistic with a virus that can be transmitted both by air and by contact and takes anywhere from 4-12 days to show symptoms, Unless literally the entire world goes into a five to six week lockdown and everyone takes it seriously.
Any other scenario means that eventually, the vast majority of humanity will come in contact with the pathogen.
