I don't think so... but they might of put together a whole solution...maybe.. but as others have eluded to with the secret sauce of David's... (If there is an "open source" compression that is dropping 4K content down to 4 meg.... I would think the industry would know about it.. only one that "I" have seen that has managed that is Ultraflix.. "I know" why is the PPS at .0175 shit you got me!!! but all 4k content is being delivered between 15-40 meg and everyone is using HEVC compression or AV1 and with 8K it will be "NO" lower then 30-60 Megs to achieve Quality encodes.Unless someone can really stepup their GAME and DELIVERY!!!

But I invested money in NTEK "BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY WERE GETTING THE COMPRESSION RATE TO WITH 4k AND HAVING CONVERSATIONS BACK THEN EVEN ABOUT 8k. Open source compression is ok but if it was that "good" companies like Harmonic would not be in Business... again just my thought..
