“I respectfully disagree with you.” Thats

Thats fair and this is a good discussion, so we can all learn.
“CYDY deserves to make daily gains "without significant news.”
I agree and disagree. Yes, leronlimab has a promising MOA and has demonstrated great data in HIV and promising results in Cancer and COVID. But no gains are deserved until data that can support those gains is published. But this isn’t the case in biotechs, where speculation, hype and even hope drive the PPS. But like we saw today, those three items can quickly be turned on themselves when a stock is overbought and swing traders hop on to make a few dollars to the top and back down. This is not a new phenomenon in the biotech world. Only solid data from the COVID trials will ensure gains in the SP are locked in and until that is done, the stock is a target.
“Wouldn't you think that being close to at announcement, any day now, of results of a couple of clinical trials with possible positive news to effectively help patients in a Pandemic that is killing 1000's of people daily (worldwide) and is causing an economic meltdown in the economy is a good reason for the SP that the company exhibited yesterday??”
Yes and no. Yes, because I understand the drug and company, but no, because I understand how the biotech game is played. Again, SPECULATION of great data and approval to treat COVID19 based on early EIND data and the MOA. Also, swing traders and shorts don’t care what a stock stands for, they look at numbers and profits. This could be the drug to save the world, but if it’s overbought, has meat on the bone and no news to hold the rise in SP, someone’s going to short it.
“However, your characterization of "daily gains without significant news", implying that the price was irrationally overextended (hype and speculation ???) , is not fair. imo this is exactly what should happen before the release of substancial news.”
The stock market is not based on “fairness.” I agree that the news could be great, and drive the SP to $20-30, maybe higher, but until the data proves itself and the FDA approves it, nothing SHOULD happen. Honestly, I expected to sit in the $3-4 range until mid-July.
To be clear, I respect all views, those who point out the negative aspects of the COVID19 paa saw these and those who state CYDY will be worth $50 PPS for it. The answer is somewhere in the middle and will only be shown to us via the data and FDA. Until then, we could pull back to the $3-4 range or climb back up to $10.
