I’m posting this because I am certain regular communications take place between the RBLs and these agencies and other federal agencies like FDA and I believe that planning for Brilacidin phase II/III and the necessary funding is much further along than most expect.
These are unprecedented times and I believe we will get word sooner rather than later on funding and trial design.
***as I have posted before, I believe a small proof of concept phase II followed by Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and expanded phase III would be ideal BUT what most people aren’t aware of is that since 2013 the FDA can issue an EUA for any UNAPPROVED drug for use against a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, or Nuclear threat. This may happen folks. It is something that can happen at any time. There just is no telling because of this global threat. Remember Hydroxychloroquine that the President and others touted? It received EUA for COVID -19 with little in supporting evidence.
We may blast off any minute.
