Quantum dots can be a powerful weapon in fighting
Post# of 22456
Currently there is no vaccine for COVID-19 but quantum dots can help fighting the virus. Since the outbreak began in late 2019, researchers have been racing to learn more about SARS-CoV-2, which is a strain from a family of viruses known as coronavirus for their crown-like shape. SARS-CoV-2 spreads mostly through tiny droplets of viral particles from breathing, talking, sneezing, coughing, they enter the body through the eyes, mouth, or nose. They can survive for days on countertops, handrails, and other hard surfaces. The COVID-19 virus is of the same size of quantum dot, about ten thousand times smaller than the width of a single strand of hair. Quantum dot can attach to SARS-CoV-2 viruses, disrupting their structure with a combination of infrared light treatment, thus inhibit their reproduction in the human body.
