That is not the way trials work.
The phase 2 trial was designed to run to 75 patients and then you do a final readout. Based on the results the FDA will decide what to do next - typically outside of Covid they would require a much larger phase 3 pivotal trial before approval of the indication. We al hope that this will be different given the circumstances.
With respect to you complaint that fox news is favoring another drug that is comparing apples to oranges. The other drug was a principle investigator commenting on a completed trial. I am sure CytoDyn or the principle investigator will announce the results of our trial when it is completed. If it is good and the information is clear and well written we should hope that media outlets will pick it up once the clinical trial is completed.
Remember we have a drug not approved for any indication ( and we submitted the clinical section for HIV more that 6 months after the clinical work was completed) that does not have trial results for Covid.
We all want to get the product and the message out but we need clinical trial results and we are in our way to getting them.
