However, I would be very surprised if he was able to discuss the paper in any detail before it had been published in the NEJM (or alternative). Kind of like Dr. Sacha and the embargo.
I also doubt he would have even been able to schedule an appearance where he discussed that paper without knowing far in advance that the peer review process would be finished beforehand.
And as you can see in my last post, he was still receiving corrections and additional data just three days ago.

I followed up directly with BP re: the peer review paper. It’s still moving forward and just going through the normal review process. Normally takes six months so still an acceleration due to Covid. They just sent back some corrections and additional data. Didn’t get an ETA but the great news is still moving forward.
