Otcaddict- you should stay away from options. You keep saying put options in your post - buying put options are for when you think that a stock will go down.
If you think a stock will go up then you should buy call options. As a side note, option holders are not entitled to any dividends on the calls they own.
Just hold the stock and you should do great.
