If FDA approval is required, I doubt it will take so long. All they have to show is that the test works. I'm sure there are human samples somewhere they can use to validate Nanologix's test. Could be as short as a few days or weeks.
I agree that the next catalyst will likely be an announcement of a deal. It may be an update of further progress towards a deal, but if its within a few weeks, I'd rather they say nothing and give the shorts a nasty surprise.
By my calculations, short position is up to around 350k shares as of this past Friday.
