Mavrilimumab (KNSA) vs Leronlimab (CYDY) in covid
First things first, if you thought leronlimab was hard to pronounce, lol
Mavril covid data is tremendous validation of some monoclonal antibodies against inflammation. In turn it seems well played against covid based on the empirical data from KNSA. CYDY data seems very positive in the evaluable data from the 75 emergency IND’s, but anecdotal. The cancer and HIV data is very compelling, NASH and GVHD info coming soon.
Mavril seems to be reasonably safe from what I have read but the long-term safety study for arthritis was cancelled after approximately 3 years due to future clinical development plans, including ethical considerations. That seems odd, I need to know more there. Safety is not an issue for Leron, they have over 1,000 patients treated, some for as long as 5 years running and no SAE reported.
Mavril has 2 active trials, both are for covid, one at 3 locations in Italy (stretch for them to call it a global study) and one thru the Cleveland Clinic (looks like several locations in Cleveland and Baltimore). Leron has empty promises for anything beyond our shores but an impressive list of locations in the USA like Harvard as an example. 2 covid trials, 4 for cancer and HIV. Covid data due first 2 weeks of July.
KNSA….trades on NASDAQ, 1.4B market cap, 25M shares outstanding, home base Burmuda is a known tax haven in the British Virgin Islands, Baker Bros are investors, down on positive news 2 days ago, no idea if they have manufacturing issues or distribution (mAb’s are not terribly difficult to make once you have the first batch done).
CYDY...trades OTC pink sheets and acts like it from the highly promotional news releases, 1.4B market cap (same), 482M outstanding shares (hugely bigger). Baker Bros is definitely NOT an investor, manufacturing is covered by Samsung & AGC (both are global drug suppliers).
That is all I have and thanks for asking. For me, this Thursday is my Waterloo. NP needs to deliver something of real value well beyond the last one of these puff ball nothing burger promos he served just a few days ago.
Where the heck is the Mexico trial? Geez.
