I would be happy to see some money go to peptide chains. On a recent PBS Frontline program about Covid-19, a doctor said that the mRNA vaccines have a short shelf life. I think that is putting it charitably. You have to keep the RNA vaccines under liquid nitrogen to keep them from mutating. Would doctors all be required to have liquid nitrogen on their premises?
Also good to see that Joe & his team are pursuing other avenues of funding. My impression is our Ii-key peptide approach may be as good as any of these others. I don't think any of them is proven.
Even if he doesn't get the whole $2 billion, I hope he gets enough to develop the vaccine and do all of the testing, however much that takes.
