When a company gets to this level, the management team has to be careful what they say in a number of settings. If I were NP, I'd only talk in a SKIFF. I owned stock in a very promising company that was managed by a bit younger team and they made an announcement that they were buying a bank to do the financial transactions for the company. Very promising but when they did that, the problem was that it was non binding and the deal wasn't signed and sealed. The SEC came down hard on them and I still have a few shares in the company that are worth .03. I keep them to remind myself that nothing is guaranteed. So my lesson learned is to keep the secrets close until it is a totally done deal and the check is in management's hand.
I really believe that things will begin to move quickly once the paperwork is signed and the milestone and license payments begin to move. I'm one lucky guy to own stock in this company and who knows, my family or friends may need this drug in my lifetime. I'm glad NP kept on pushing and am looking forward to shaking his hand some day.
