Civicbird, that's funny about the two week notice
Post# of 85505
I have gone over and over that same thing in my head, do I put in two week notice or not. Can I stand two more weeks of work when I know I'm done for good (hopefully).
Usually it depends on whether or not I had a good day at work. I like my boss and know that it would put him in a pickle if I just left, but if you are let go or laid off, there's no two week notice you are given so more than likely they will recover just fine. At that point, I think it boils down to your sanity and what you can take.
But, if you know you can't retire and may have to work more later, never ever burn those bridges!
