The Last Samurai, good period piece about a time of tremendous cultural change in Japan with a western soldier gaining an understanding and acceptance of why some prefered the Bushido code over the western influences coming to the country. Cruise played his role very well.
A Few Good Men, a good example of the moral delema's in the military as to when to follow an order and how fanatical loyalty to a cause or organization can affect ones judgement. The interaction between Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson was powerful drama.
Jack Reacher series, Just good old action movies that Cruise seems to excel at.
