The approved drug anakinra (rheumatoid arthritis)

The approved drug anakinra (rheumatoid arthritis) is getting some press, the company is in Sweden so it makes sense most of the covid trials are in Europe, only one of 16 I found in the USA. Only 1 of 16 was the company listed as the responsible party so most of the trials are started by someone else away from the company. I get it, this is an approved drug so the interest is much higher from the masses of health care groups who would start trials.

Only 2 trials listed under covid & leronlimab search. CYDY is the responsible party for both. I find this some what troubling as it seems no one else is finding enough anecdotal data supporting the initialization of a trial. Is the company the only one allowed to start a trial with a drug not approved? I doubt that.

Where is Mexico? Using language as an excuse for the delay is sort of lame. The Dr involved at NIH Mexico got his education in the USA so he is obviously well versed in the English language and 90% of the staff is likely as well. Central and S America is getting ravaged, they need this badly, so why the delays?

I remain cautiously optimistic...
