He's only saying what everyone already knows, and he already said Remdesivir is barely better than nothing (if only that were the case).

Maybe that's not scientific enough for some people on this board, but thankfully their superstitions aren't relevant.

Now, let's see what the FDA does with this... those "best people" can't possibly allow a useless (to harmless) drug get misused, can they??
