My good friend is in a hospital in Chicago with corona virus. Today he was put on a ventilator.
On wednesday I reached out to Dr. Nader Pourhassen about using leronlimab for my friend. Dr. Pourhassen told me to have the doctor contact them to get the information they need to get leronlimab.
I spoke with the doctor on Thursday and hadn't heard back from them. But today I received a message that the infectious disease doctor had contacted cytodyn and got the information they needed. They contacted the FDA and got the EIND and they hope to have leronlimab in 24 hours.
I can't believe this is happening and that we will be moving forward with leronlimab for my friend.
I don't know what will be happening with leronlimab but I and the family are very thankful that the doctors made the decision to contact Dr. Pourhassen.
The infectious disease doctor told me it is not a miracle drug but she was willing to use it to see if it could help my friend. She also mentioned there were only about 50 cases in the country that had used leronlimab.
But I am glad that they did look at my fax with links to cytodyn and all the videos and information before they made the decision to contact leronlimab.
