Here is an example for two-tailed binomial test with assuming 50 patients on Leronlimab. Note: this is for the Severe to Critical.
For the case of 88% deaths in placebo we would need a survival of at least 12 patients (exact p=0.05 would be in between 11 and 12, not feasible in the real world).
For the case of 75% we would need a survival of at least 20 patients.
For the case of 55% we would need a survival of at least 30 patients.
With this, we would achieve the level of significance that FDA normally uses.
Let's hope we all have good news on Tuesday, mainly in the trials enrollment progress (Mild-Moderate, Severe-Critical and Mexico).
