I just need to realize its a waste of my time to discuss it here.
There are many critically important reasons why investors, stakeholders, suppliers, media, and patients should have access to accurate information -- with the caveat, of course, that the company chooses to disclose said information in the first place.
We're not making widgets here, so the reasons are not limited to commercial concerns. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of lives on the line. And every day that approval is delayed means more dead people, more broken families, more failed small businesses -- and an endless cascade of related repercussions that none of us would ever want to have happen to our own families.
From my short time here, it appears that CytoDyn has been challenged for many years by many external forces -- but it has also had more than its share of self-inflicted wounds. Much of what I see now seems to be the overhang of a company borne in the crucible of a penny stock world -- where it fought in-the-trenches for capital, relevance, publicity, survival, and success.
I get it. But those days are over.
I've been on hundreds of investor calls, and I have never seen anything quite like this.
It is time for CytoDyn to put on its big boy pants and start behaving like a real professional company. And by that I mean clearly disclose real facts, real information, real timelines -- and not waste time grandstanding or reading long patient/family letters (as impressive and moving as those letters might be).
It is also time to bid farewell to the paid penny stock pumpers who, while serving a useful purpose in the past, now send the completely wrong message to the new class of investors and institutions that are interested in CytoDyn.
I understand and have deep respect for Nader -- for what he has done, and what he continues to do for the company. But it is time to let go of that penny stock personality disorder, and all of the dysfunction that comes with it, and start behaving like a real company.
In just over one month from now, CytoDyn is going to be on the world stage. We are actually taking the first step to becoming Big Pharma. CytoDyn and Nader are going to have to embrace change. It's not that hard, it just takes discipline, and you have to unlearn some bad habits.
The company's future, and many lives, depend on this happening -- and it can't happen soon enough.
