Always good to have a perspective
No such thing as too much BOC
Needs a little more cowbell though
Wasn't to long ago people were saying shopify was worthless
Going to fail...
Losing money...
Let's short it (hold that thought until the end)
Blah, bl-blah...bl-blah
Shopify has a market cap of $82B now
Shopify has $2.4 billion in cash on the balance sheet
Last week raised $1.5B
What???
Why would a company that size, with that much cash on hand need to raise money?
red, because they have no business model
They are losing money
Going out of business...
Blah, bl-blah...bl-blah
"Shopify expects to use its net proceeds from the Offering to strengthen its balance sheet, providing flexibility to fund its growth strategies."
Just so you know, in Shopify's most recent quarterly report, Shopify reported a net loss of $31.4 million and a comprehensive loss of $48 million on revenues of $470 million
Operating loss for the first quarter was $73.2 million -- or 16% of total revenue -- an increase from an operating loss of $35.8 million a year ago
See red, they are crappy like VERB!
If that's what you call crappy, can't wait for VERB to be just like them
Shopify IPO'd in 2015 at $17 per share
Now they are at $766.23 per share
That is 45x more

But wait, there is more
Every year, many times a year, the boo-birds come out on Shopify
Yup, $82B company and they have BWers good n plenty
As I've been saying and pointed out multiple examples
Some of the biggest tech companies now are still borrowing and losing money
Well it would be super duper if you could organically grow
This isn't a grass mowing business though
Borrow, grow, borrow, grow, borrow, grow
Like Shopify and plenty of other companies
The BWers are never going to go away
In fact it will get worse as time goes on like it did for shopify
It's clear 90%+ of them don't even understand technology as they use the same basher playbook for every company
There is no electrons in some of those sockets
I was impressed to learn every minute on shopify, someone has their first sale. Really a great platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs
