Reminder on USN 2020 MAC timescales.
The contract was supposed to be awarded by March 31, 2020.
When it wasn't - as explained in my daily brief here March 31 onwards - we were in the situation of knowing that the final Request For Proposals (RFP) after company inputs by January 8 had not been put on beta.sam.gov yet.
That could either have meant it hadn't been formulated yet or that it wouldn't necessarily be made available to the public and we could have just seen a contract award at the DoD website.
The May 15 update at beta.sam.gov seems to make it clear that the solicitation against a final RFP will be appearing there "within a few weeks" both to inform offerors and the public.
It will have a deadline for bids to be received on it and I expect that to be a few to several weeks rather than several months as most communication between the USN and offerors as to what is in the art of the possible has already been done - initially by January 8 and then by further communication since.
