I have been considering something a bit more extreme:
I can easily see a world where every country on this planet that has sufficient funds will want a rotating stockpile of leronlimab going forward -- for any emergency or outbreak that they would not want to be waiting in line for. The next time something happens, no country is going to want to wait for Samsung to ramp-up production -- or be in the line after the US and its most favored allies.
Think about that possibility for a moment -- a standing and revolving order of millions of doses from dozens of countries for a continuous supply of leronlimab that is stockpiled for emergencies.
This pandemic has quickly become a national defense issue. The country that has leronlimab -- is the country that survives and is able to defend itself both militarily and economically. Make no mistake about it -- every other country in the world will be unhappy that they can't control this drug. And the most unhappiest countries will be the ones at the end of the leronlimab line due to strained relationships with the US. I am sure you can fill in the blanks.
For this reason, and many others, not only do I expect US military forces to surround the Samsung Biologics plant where leronlimab is produced, but I also expect the current inventory of leronlimab to be sequestered and earmarked for this country's top leaders and military brass. In other words, I anticipate a small portion of the existing 40k vial inventory to be distributed to the masses. For the record, 40k vials can treat 10k patients -- 2 vials per dose, 2 doses per patient.
