JC Penny deserves to go BK. No big business catering to families should take political stands, in my opinion. J.C. Penny hired Ellen DeGeneres in 2012 to do adds. "Moms" groups protested and started the final slide. JCP stock peaked in early 2012 at $40 and downhill all the way to the current 20 cents. Penny had the freedom to do what they chose.

I a not anti gay, my step son is gay and is a wonderful man. I work with some gays, same thing. I am pro choice. If Penny had Ellen, who like do some of their ads I doubt they would have been as much backlash, but she was and still is their centerpiece. People have freedom to chose their religious beliefs and also have freedom to choose where they shop. Penny stuck with Ellen and they are in BK, not the fault of COVID, although it speeded it up a bit.

No big company should get involved in politics, IMO. 2 years ago YETI came out against gun control. Many of their customers are hunters, duuuuuuuh. YETI had to back track. YETI is down 33% since then.
