The test would have to be based on either Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) or be a unique ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay). Guaranteed that it’s not PCR, since that’s the realm of the major biotechs and I’ve spoken to Mr. Barnhizer regarding PCR and he despises it for anything but research purposes. Their N-Assay is an ELISA, LFA would work if everything is designed well but I can’t believe they’d find some new way to patent it. Probably it’s some ELISA variant. It’ll be interesting to see the home-use kit.
