When NP and JL started discussing the protocols they are putting in place for compassionate use my first thought was “wait, they hadn’t done that before?”
Maybe they had but are redoing them, but it came across to me as a new initiative. So in my opinion, and logically, something must have changed from the last few attempts. Maybe they’ve been given feedback that they need that in place first. Or they’ve gotten further into the process for the first time. It’s still all speculation on our parts because we aren’t privy to the discussions, but perhaps the protocol efforts are a clue to how much closer we are to compassionate use approval?
