Thank you. The cleanest readout so far. I had

I had to stop at page 4 when this hammer hit me in the head.
“As is often the case, there are multiple mechanisms of evasion for CoVs, with viral factors antagonizing each step of the pathway from PRR sensing and cytokine secretion to IFN signal transduction.”
At each step of the way, at each step of the immuno response, the virus has evolved antagonizing strategies.
I’ve been telling my 82 year old mother that the CV is kinda expected. The further we humans dig into the wild, and don’t stay in our villages, the more we will encounter unknown viruses. Eating bats. Deforestation. This idea is Virology 101.
So is my realization, but thought it worth recording here.
Us humans, are pink little mole rat mammals. The dinosaur viruses we encounter from cave dwelling flying reptiles are evolved on a looong timeline. They have tools in their tool box to kill us, that our little pink fleshed tool boxes can’t even imagine.
Again, Virology 101.
But add in global warming and changing ECO zones and WE WILL SEE MORE OF THE SAME IN THE FUTURE.
Long view. Long CYDY.
