Some more: Does anyone know what a "KOL" is?

Sounds like a spokesperson of sorts and the way Joe describes it here is that the ones he uses are doing it essentially for free because they know how good GNBT's the science

Joseph Moscato

only people to me are KOLS I listen to, academia is never something a drug developer like myself or my peers would ever take seriously, listen to, and even consider, and that’s just the way it is, if it’s cancer I want to know all the drugs you’ve been part of developing, does not matter if they have been commercialized or not, what matters is that clinician being on the front line and have participated because of their knowledge in all drug trials, why, they have the knowledge in the pathway, they have the experience and know what works and what doesn’t in regard to mechanism of action without them you got nothing, a KOL also gets paid an honorarium of about 1,500.00 a year and his expenses paid to go to conferences and talk you up and represent the science, if you have the best of the best on your team for this you know they believe in your science and they want to be part of the next big thing, then there is those same kols if the get paid big money or consideration that tells you something else, it means they are not sure about your science and want to be compensated for their time because it won’t probably be the next big thing, then their are the experts or supposed experts with big names that aren’t in let’s say breast cancer but the biggest in another area, or their a surgeon, big red flag that means they make a lot and your science is garbage, in addition as it pertains the the best surgeons on the planet you see one of them in science for sure they are getting paid big, huge red flag, why would a drug developer have a surgeon on board, cause they don’t know the business, that’s never taken seriously in fact it’s a joke, surgeons cut things out, they do not treat so why are they in drug development, because of the almighty dollar and lack of knowledge of the companies management team, the goal is always to partner with big pharma when the time is right and these signals will get your thrown out an office rather then sit down let’s discuss your science, so no I do not take any kind of Dr’s word or hyperbole who is not a KOL in the field you are developing that drug in, I just normally laugh!

I'm impressed with the explanation about the distinction of whether the opinion is actually factual or monetary driven. Everyone has an opinion and some are assholes and stink! I know you and you demand exceptional accomplishments only surrounding yourself with the best. I have faith under your direction your team will provide the best long term solution to this dilemma.

Joseph Moscato yes and we do have the best in my humble opinion
