I found CCR5 when doing research on Merck's Keytuda, wanted to invest in oncology companies (after few unsuccessful investments) . In reading about PD-1 came across a paper where CCR5 was being mentioned as an alternative immune checkpoint inhibitor for melanoma and gastric cancer.
Started to read papers on CCR5 and “discovered” the HIV indication. Being familiar with SAE’s of all cancer drugs I could not believe that it did not have secondary effects.
Several papers afterwards I was convinced that this was the case (no SEAs). The day that happened I was converted and started buying CYDY shares. The more I read the more I bought.
Unfortunately, that was many years back and my entry price was relatively high. I discharged my money management rules and keep on buying all the way to the 30’s. My last purchase was last Friday as I believe that we are way undervalued.
The rest is history
