I am no doctor, but I have a science-related background and medical professionals in my family. From what I read and could understand, they did talk about the virus in the blood plasma. And, there was some discussion of how leronlimab binds to the CCL5 receptor and how that works. We also knew that some patients did not survive, although I don’t remember if we knew how many. As much as I would have liked to see 100% survival, the fact is, it is probably unrealistic to have expected all of these severely ill patients to recover. Leronlimab can’t reverse the damage that the virus causes to the major organs. Given this was the “last option” for these patients, I am sure significant damage had already been done. I need to go back and look to see if there was any data on how long each patient had been in the hospital...
