Turns out DJO, who is at the top of the guessing list for Global Orthopedic Partner, has incorporated Electroceuticals into Knee Wraps in the past.
In 2005 DJO acquired EMPI, who among other things made TENS Devices, for $360 million. EMPI kept the name and became a division of DJO.
In 2011 EMPI released a new Knee product, 'Active TENS Knee Wrap'. The standard EMPI TENS was shrunk down to a 2x2.5" size and slipped into a pouch on a Knee Wrap.
EMPI got into trouble with the Military in 2015 for selling unnecessary TENS replacement electrodes to patients. DJO had to Settle with the FEDs for $7.62 million. DJO shut down EMPI shortly thereafter claiming low sales.
Now, if DJO is in fact our Partner, DJO has an Active component for Braces and Wraps that not only Relieves Pain, as the TENS did, but also Promotes Cell Healing, Reduces Inflammation, Requires no Electrode Replacement, weighs 70% less, Zero Side Effects, OTC Cleared, Reduced Warranty Costs.
