Dr P talked about Rantes and its relationship to testing. I believe he mentioned that CV is in the blood. That testing the blood is a more reliable measure of the disease. He also disparaged nasal swab testing. Is it his opinion that presence of CV in the nasal cavity does not constitute a diseased condition or that may not advance to the blood stream where it becomes a Rantes disease. What are the possible ramifications, if any of his, observations? could early treatment or local measures such as the use of warm saline irrigation (certainly a disinfectant) mitigate the progression of the disease to a Rantes condition?
