CWRN got 1st permit under new 2011 regs,and in 2012 a new series of audits apparently intended to weed out illegal mines took until Mar 6 to finish- even though the permit itself was published by the govt Jan 23-I have relied on others in the past to research this permit area, for why should I get all the glorious tasks- so have at it guys-my inability to speak or read spanish is a limiting factor in researching some of this but there must be spanish speakers in our pool besides rich girl, who can thus research better

PITTSBURGH Asian Metal 4 Jan 12 – The Mexican iron ore market keeps sluggish as international prices remain unchanged for over a month. Shipments remains depressed as new regulations by the Mexican government stagnates movement and sales. Since October, two new policies have largely hindered sale from the port of Manzanillo. As the Federal government has aimed to crack down on illegal mining activities, the process of renewing export licenses has become increasingly meticulous and lengthy, delaying companies from sending shipments overseas. In an attempt to clean up the port, the local government shut down companies with mobile crushers placed at the port, forcing them to relocate. Mexican prices for iron ore fines 63%min keep at USD140-145t CFR China; no change since early December, 2011.
