I think you have this mixed up. Or rather that there may be a confusion generally in classification. Certainly Cytodyn are proud to be able to treat even patients on ventilation ,rightly so. Although the Remdesvir patients were classified as severe ,the exclusion criteria meant that no patients that were on mechanical ventilation were accepted. The patients only had to have some indicators of pneumonia and lower than normal blood oxygenation. I think that would be similar to what Cytodyn mild moderate trial patients. Also I don't believe Cytodyn are in any way retreating from the larger trial in severe cases. Because that would contradict their claim of prioritising saving lives .But I am concerned that Cytodyn might have trouble fully enrolling the larger trial , hope to be wrong on that last point.
