I don't know what algorithm the SEC uses or if they use any at all. I am only familiar with a couple of suspended stocks. I assume they are Nasdaq and OTC stocks.
Nobody except the people that were in the meetings knows what transpired. From what I have read most of the time companies that are sent to the grey sheets have no further punishment.
I guess the company IR guy telling everyone to get on their bully pulpit and contact the FDA, President, The SEC and Congressman the Company thinks they have something special. If that is true maybe breaking a few security laws gets overlooked. I don't own shares anymore.
But, if a miracle happens and this device gets approved I would be comfortable paying much higher prices knowing it is real. All the penny stock traders can go for the zillion percent wins.
