The "study" is utterly flawed.
First, we don't know how sick the patients were. Were all of the patients who were treated already so sick they had no chance of survival?
Second, are we sure that they received the right amounts of drug, administered correctly over 10 days? Or were they so sick they died right away?
I could go on and on about it, but it doesn't matter. This is a bogus "study," is utterly untrustworthy, and we're supposed to have REAL results from U.S. clinical trials that have control groups, sometime this summer.
In the meantime, yes, hopefully people will start casting about for alternatives to study, and Brilacidin ought to be right up there on their lists.
