Can we please discuss the China deal again? IMO

IMO, there is either nothing worthy of reporting or Joe got torqued so hard on the contract that he can’t report any progress or good news to us.
Sorry if that seems harsh, and I’m open and eager to have discussion/correction/enlightenment.
However, it seems to me that Joe gave up almost everything in the deal: He did get payment for expenses up to $1MM (did we ever get any $?). But he gave up ALL net revenue on the project unless it is 100% successful AND is chosen as one of the end solutions. And then we get the $5MM and “20%”... of what? Was there an agreed upon price that 20% is based on? I’m guessing not, as there would at least be some guidance on that in the contract (?).
It seems to me that he should have pushed back on NDAs that would prohibit him from distributing milestone statuses/news. Again, IMHO, such news on progress would have been almost as valuable in the process of securing funding here and elsewhere as a windfall in China only some time in the fall/winter. And I am not smart enough to understand why that would be a dealbreaker for China anyway. Where’s the harm in the world knowing whether they are having success in their vaccine efforts?
This could be sitting out there as a windfall in the next year, but apparently we won’t know until we reach the finish line... whereas some milestone success on this front might have already secured funding in the US, EU, Canada, etc., which would have done a lot more for the company and the US than some lottery ticket we don’t get to scratch for maybe 9-12 months.
Please show me the light...
