“Heads up. On Doximity app--for docs only--most

I’m a member of the app and have been for some time. Great discussion and resources.
I’ll expand upon your statement above by saying that for every doctor that posts a success story related to HCQ, there are doctors who are asking for more extensive data. Most of the doctors posting success stories aren’t mentioning hundreds of patients successfully treated but more in the tens or single digits. I’m not discounting those stories and the discussions they spark, because they’re important, but a proper study is needed. Also, some are doctors from urgent cares and ERs, who don’t conduct a lot of follow-up nor do they have a lot of historical data on the patients they see. We know that the majority of COVID19 patients will clear the virus themselves without treatment, so HCQ, in most cases, isn’t needed. Many of the patients treated by these doctors no doubt fall into this category and that’s why we need a larger study to better analyze how patients respond.
I’m regards to leronlimab, the drug has been mentioned on the app, mostly under threads about other drugs or discussions on COVID treatments. I’m waiting for the NJM article regarding leronlimab to start a larger discussion, but there doctors on the app spreading the word.
