As disturbing as it was to read about SARS-CoV-2's potential ability to deplete T cells, I found the following excerpt interesting:
"The gene behind the fusion function in Sars-CoV-2 was not found in other coronaviruses in human or animals.But some deadly human viruses such as Aids and Ebola have similar sequences."
And it got me thinking that since Ebola is characterized by "dysregulated immune response and massive production of both pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines". Might that virus be another possible indication for leronlimab?
If so, wouldn't that be the stake through the heart of Gilead's remdesivir!
