Consider taking a deep breath and taking a moment to monitor the tone of this board.
We're not perfect, and we can be impatient and confrontational at times. But we're all pulling in the same direction.
I sense you can be a good contributor to this effort -- but we don't need someone coming in from the outside who wants to set the rules and needs to impose their sense of order on everyone else.
We did just fine before you arrived -- but we're happy to have you as a productive contributor.
