Yeah, you raise a very legitimate question. I know, as you did point out, that they know how to request new drugs, I just don’t think it’s easy enough for them to learn enough about it to be comfortable, and then manage the red tape (even though they know how to ask for approvals) all while frantically treating patients. I was a pharma rep for a decade and every doctor is different. Some will never try anything experimental while some seem to always want to forgo standard, approved treatments to try the next generation drugs early, and then a ton of doctors fall somewhere between those two spectrums. I guess I’m just saying it’s probably never going to be as easy or as cut and dry as you and I think it should be. I wish it was. And hopefully someone or something helps this damn dam break for the sake of the tens of thousands of severely sick people around the world.
