License and Royalties deals don't come easy. Sure, it's easy to sell QD in bulk at commodity prices so Display OEMs can make all the money, but that doesn't help QMC.
License and Royalties deals in the form of a JV allow QMC to share in the profits of the end product, thereby getting paid the full value of the QD contribution. The risk and cost to QMC are low but the profit potential is high if the JV succeeds. The AMTRON JV, Qamronics, allows for a number of product catagories and others can be added.
For HealthID, it can possibly be licensed to any government body administrators of a CV19 test program as a SAAS, with recurring fees based on a number of different factors. Already there are reports of counterfeit CV19 Antibody Tests. QD printed on a QR Code prevents fake tests inn the system by QD verification when input into the system, and can be tracked and traced throughout.
The basis of QMC Business Plan is to get full value for it's Best in Class QD by license and royalties/SAAS, while not overextending the company with unnecessary risk. IMO.
