Totally agree. Leronlimab when/if it is approved will not be the end-all as you will still need antivirals or some effective treatment(s) for the initial infection to reduce the percentage of people that advance to ARDS. Obviously a vaccine is ideal too but I'm old enough to recall when the world was initially assured one for HIV...
Unfortunately HCQ is a political football in the US right now so don't expect too much objective, unbiased reporting about it anytime soon.
Ultimately I think Leronlimab can become the central medicinal backstop that significantly reduces the mortality & fear associated with the pandemic and pivots the world towards recovery.
