Houston, Texas--(Newsfile Corp. - April 15, 2020) - At the moment, CBD is under considerable demand.
In fact, a survey from the Brightfield Group says up to 40% of consumers plan to use CBD far more frequently because of COVID-19, with 15% planning to use a higher dose, as highlighted by Food Navigator USA.
"There is no question that with much of the country recommending to shelter at home and a pandemic sweeping the globe, anxiety levels are skyrocketing," says Brightfield Group's managing director Bethany Gomez. "Anxiety is the #1 ailment of CBD users - 53% of them report it. Depression and insomnia, which likely to spike over the coming months, are #3 & 4. For those that truly need CBD and are relying on it for their health and wellbeing, consumption is expected to continue or increase."
In addition, consumers are still waking up to the benefits of CBD use for the treatment of insomnia, stress, anxiety, pain, and even chronic issues. In fact, about 14% of Americans are currently using CBD products, "And the number one reason is pain," as highlighted by Harvard Health Publishing.
One of the Top Companies Benefiting from the CBD boom is Yield Growth (BOSQF).
Yield Growth (CSE: BOSS) (OTCQB: BOSQF) has conducted extensive research into plant based medicines to create products designed to relieve pain with its unique and proprietary ingredient, hemp root oil used in many of its products. In fact, the company just announced that its subsidiary Urban Juve Provisions Inc. submitted a Natural Health Product (NHP) application with Health Canada for its pain balm.
"Pain is the most common reason that people seek medical attention in North America, and it is a tremendous load for our social, economic, and medical systems. Especially in times like these, when access to medical care is limited for most," said Yield Growth CEO Penny White "now, more than ever, individuals are seeking alternative, at home remedies to treat their pain."
Yield Growth also has three topical cannabis products for sale in Oregon through the line Wright & Well including a balm, a gel, and a massage oil, with plans to launch similar products in Canada. "Pain is not just something that the older population faces, excessive stress and anxiety that comes with our modern way of living is leading to chronic pain disorders in younger people as well," added White. "Our pain balms are tools to ease pain, promote relaxation and enable restful sleep."
The health claim under review for Urban Juve's pain balm is: "Temporarily relieves back aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with one or more of the following: simple backache, lumbago, strains and sprains (involving muscles, tendons, and/or ligaments), and arthritis."
Many of Yield Growth's products are deeply rooted in Ayurveda, leveraging both ancient wisdom and modern science. "Our newest pain balm is an elixir of different botanicals blended to support an everyday self-care regime for pain management. Whether for arthritis and fibromyalgia sufferers, for those with muscle and joint pain, or for those simply sore from taking a weekend hike," said Bhavna Solecki, Yield Growth Director of Product Research.
Pain is inevitable, but at the same time suffering is optional," added Solecki. "We are passionate about creating natural remedies that leverage modern science and ancient wisdom to help people to live their most healthy and whole lives."
However, it's not just CBD driving Yield Growth at the moment.
The company is also involved in mushrooms, which, "Have the ability to activate cell immunity in humans," says Griffith University, notes The New Daily. "They do this through their possession of beta-glucans, which humans don't have. So, when human cells come into contact with this foreign body, the immune system starts to fire up and respond."
As the mushroom story grows, Yield Growth subsidiary Flourish Mushroom Labs continues product development of its functional mushroom coffees - formulas created to boost immunity. It is also reviewing its extensive product catalogue to select the next products to commercialize. The Ayurvedic coffees and botanical shots are planned for launch in early summer of 2020 and contain immune-boosting medicinal mushrooms: reishi, chaga, lion's mane and turkey tail. The Yield Growth/ Flourish marketing team has been developing an exciting new brand for its mushroom products, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
