I disagree, TC and gd4,
I am usually a very hard critic for the PRs that GNBT has released in the past several months. But here I absolutely like the tone of their writing, and I really do see the meat on the bones. What I do read out of it as well is caution, because they do not want to sound too optimistic, just to make sure that nobody can in the end sue them for making promises that they are finally not able to keep. Especially with the federal government involved, they have made their experiences and learned that such predictions need to be made very carefully.
HOWEVER, what I DO like about this PR very much is, that at least I can read a lot of confidence out of it, that they will be able to walk the route that they describe in this PR. They very clearly describe the steps that they are planning to take on the route towards having a vaccine ready, tested, approved and produced in large quantaties within the given time frame of 6 months (or maybe a little longer, if things are not running as smoothly, as they are hoping for).
I read confidence out of the fact that they are now already preparing themselves and starting collaborations with organizations that could produce the vaccine in large quantities, once approved. If they would not be sure that they will be able to provide something that can be approved soon, why would they already plan the next three steps ahead? And these steps are very clearly layed out and concrete. I really do like that.
I read confidence out of the statement that "From our knowledge, the U.S. government has nothing like the Generex COVID 19 Complete Vaccine technology in their pandemic preparedness portfolio."
With that said, we are best in class, and a clear plan/strategy on how to get to a working - and in large quantities available - vaccine, in place, I think the federal funding made available to GNBT is just a question of finalizing the paperwork and a matter of a couple of more days, until all these hopes, wants and believes are going to materialize in front of us.
After this PR from yesterday, I am more confident than ever, that GNBT will be able to do it and after they have sold millions of vaccine doses, will have no further funding issues and can move on with all the other amunition that they have in their arsenal.
