If you already have a mask that you are re-using, you might try putting a layer of shop towel on the outside of your mask, then immediately (and carefully) disposing of the shop towel layer when you leave the store. Please make sure you throw away the towel layer in a bin -- do not leave it in the shopping cart so that some supermarket employee has to risk exposure throwing YOUR trash away. Also make sure you're not contaminating yourself by touching the front (dirty) part of the towel. Use gloves and/or extreme caution.
You can let time decontaminate your mask. Put it in a paper bag and fold over the top, and leave it for at least 4 days before re-using. 5-7 days is better if you can leave it that long.
