“It look that some group of people absolutely can’t accept that this treatment (hydroxychloroquine) is working with many, especially when started soon...”
You’re a self proclaimed doctor, who has also claimed to have participated in administering clinical trial medications to patients, and you’re asking why investors and health care professionals wont accept a clinically unproven drug for COVID? That’s absurd. You, of anyone, should understand how the FDA works in regards to approving drugs for certain indications. Yes, doctors talk amongst themselves and share preliminary results, but that talk is not meant for the general population and isn’t considered FACTs until proven by an official study. Dr. Fauci, the CDC, and the FDA are treating hydroxychloroquine like every other potential COVID treatment until a study shows efficacy: an unproven drug for the indication. And, of any drug for COVID patients, hydroxychloroquine needs further research because of the trials from China and around the world that have shown very different results.
“We all know why I believe ...”
I’m not sure what answer is possible because you personally aren’t prescribing the medication to COVID patIents and there isn’t an FDA approved trial showing efficacy. There is only anecdotal data that varies widely in efficacy.
Media and social media platforms are dangerous with disinformation in regards to COVID19 and treatments. I came across a video from a “Dr.” yesterday on social media that was discussing preventions and treatment for COVID19. This video had over 100K views. The “Dr.” was discussing notes he’d gotten from another Dr at an urgent care that showed promising results with early anti-biotic treatment. This “Dr.” then started discussing alternative treatments and prevention, including drinking tonic water everyday to prevent one from contracting COVID. After a little research, I discovered this “Dr.” is actually a chiropractor and is the owner of a wellness center. He didn’t mention this In the video, but from the comments, people were widely supporting his unsupported claims.
This is dangerous and people on social media are making similar videos and claims about hydroxychloroquine. I want to keep this non-political and consider myself in the middle on politics (more apolitical than anything), but I’d like to point out that the majority of individuals really pushing hydroxychloroquine are conservative and have ZERO medical knowledge. Like why’s, those who really bash the medication tend to be liberals. The topic of hydroxychloroquine and COVID should’ve never become political and should’ve been left to doctors and researchers, but unfortunately like every aspect of life today, politicians politicize everything for personal and political gain.
